IP Network Scanner Lite App Reviews

Great tool for keeping track of whats on your network. Lite version only keeps 5 devices. Could make it easier to upgrade to full version.

I work in it manage services, and it is nice to have this app so I dont have to open my laptop.

I used this app a lot, and suddenly I notice that it has been changed to only show 5 devices. I can understand making a lite version with limited features at the beginning, but removing features is just obnoxious. This doesnt make me want the full version. It makes me switch apps.

I believe that this app has been so usefull that I will immediately upgrade, upon my next check! It has everything

But expect nothing but the basics here, worth $.99 and not $.01 or $9.00 more. Im ashamed of myself.

This app shows me all the devices in my network along with their internal IP addresses and Mac addresses. Very helpful and well designed app.

I needed to scan a /23. Guess I need a different tool.

This app only displays 5 devices. If it displayed more or all that it saw then it would be useful. That being said, if you have a 5 device network (including the device that this app is on) you will find it of some use. If you have more than 5 devices this app is a joke. Dont waste your time. Also cost of upgrade is $10.00 After upgrade, wont scan over 255 devices. 10 bucks down the drain.

Limited to a single network for a LAN scan. Does a good job of recognizing Bonjour names, allows custom names and icons, but has some UI anomalies.

Good app, I would prefer more customization with pinging, also I would like the signal strength of the devices.

Dropcopy and ip network scanner (this app) is incredible. But I will say that both of these apps have a very narrow range of compatibility for the cost. I know that ssl is broken in iOS, but on my home network I use multiple iOS 5 devices and macs with snow leopard (X11 is a must for me). Thankfully there is a dropcopy for Mac available outside the App Store, but I missed out on buying dropcopy and network scanner before iOS 5 support was dropped. Anyway, for 10$ I think the devs should support at least 1 previous version of iOS (in this case iOS 6, even though I dont use it). But for what this app is, it effortlessly tells me relevant info about 5 of my networked devices. But until I decide to go all in on iOS 7, I will keep using Scanny. Dropcopy for Mac is an absolute essential to me though. 10baseT makes beautiful apps that work great. Maybe some day in the future I will break down and buy the full version of this app.

If I want to switch from one app to another this app closes, requires a rescan, and then I can copy another MAC address, for example. Other than that this is a great app!
